The Design
All Galaxy Note fans know why they love the NOTE. Inasmuch as Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite has the adjective ‘Lite’ you will soon realize that there really isn’t anything really ‘lite’ about it. The design language here is as fluent as on the Note 10 and Note 10+. It has the same upgraded and improved S-Pen at the bottom right corner, a centrally placed Infinity-O notch display, an under display optical fingerprint scanner and so on.
What then are we saying here? That compromise was made on the build material. Whereas Note 10 and 10+ have Gorilla Glass 6 with aluminum frames, Note 10 Lite comes with a that plastic finish Samsung uses on Galaxy A51 and A71. It remains a premium phone nevertheless even we don’t mind it . However, what you won’t be privileged to enjoy is will be wireless charging. There is also no official IP rating.
Display
Immerse yourself in the action you with the large estate 6.7 inches display Galaxy Note 10 Lite offers. It is a super AMOLED panel (of course) with a high 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. Always-on display is a feature very present on Galaxy Note 10 Lite because of the display type – AMOLED. Interestingly this one runs Android 10.0. I mention this under display because it provided a fully functional Dark Mode feature/theme.
The display here is simply brilliant and that hole punch which housed the selfie camera has been neatly implemented and gives the phone an more premium look. You will love that the view estate is large at 6.7 inches and that its vividly unmatched and incomparable to many display in the market today.
Platform
I think Samsung has now learned to listen to its clients and consumers. The firm shows this by including the latest software updates on its new phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite runs Android 10.0 with One UI 2 and has a high end Exynos 9810 (10 nm) chipset which the Note 9 had. We may also add that it has a Octa-core (4×2.7 GHz Mongoose M3 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and a Mali-G72 MP18 GPU
It comes in two storage options. These two are UFS 2.1 128 GB 6 GB RAM and 128 GB 8GB RAM. Know also that internal storage can be expanded using a micro SDXC card. The highlight here is that you will receive updates, both major and minor for the next 3 years or thereabout. And that this will also prove itself a high performing Note device.
Photography
For the first time we see a 32 MP selfie camera at this level of Samsung’s flagships. That is the selfie camera in the hole punch and it takes really nice photos dear reader. But on the back panel of Galaxy Note 10 Lite is where you will find 12 MP wide, 12 MP telephoto and 12 MP ultra wide camera lenses. These are lenses capable of 2x optical zoom, OIS and up to 4K 2160p@30/60fps video recording.
What you will not find here is Super Steady video which in our assessment for the most part a gimmick. Optical Image Stabilization is on board and we do not really see the necessity of asking for more. Images are crisp, videos impressive and generally, photography on Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is to the mark.
Galaxy Note 10 Lite Battery
Why do we talk about the battery independently you ask? Well, because under the hood is a non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery. That is right, 4500 mAh. This one lasts and last and last up to a whole day of mixed usage with ease. Other times you will go through a whole day and still have some charge to take you the next. Not forgetting that there is fast battery charging 25W on board.
